FIRE — Female Inventors & Rising Entrepreneurs
From the founder

The room I wished I’d walked into.

FIRE is a membership for women building product businesses. I started it because I needed it when I was starting out, and nothing like it existed.

Why I started FIRE

A letter from Joelle.

I built a product company before I built this one. So I know what it feels like to stare at a spreadsheet at one in the morning trying to work out whether a single purchase order will sink you, to email a hundred factories and hear back from four, and to walk into rooms where nobody else was carrying what you were carrying.

Along the way I raised money, negotiated with buyers, shipped products people actually use, and yes, pitched on Shark Tank with my brand, FunkkOFF!. Very little of it needed to be as lonely as it was. The information existed somewhere. The women who had already done the hard version existed somewhere. They were just never in one place, and almost nothing was built for women taking a physical product from a sketch to a shelf.

What was missing

The communities I found were either too broad to be useful or too closed to get into. General startup advice does not tell you how to read a manufacturing agreement, price for real margin, or get a retail buyer to answer. And the few rooms that did have that knowledge were not built around the specific path women take when they make something physical and try to sell it.

I wanted the templates and contracts I eventually paid lawyers to redraft. I wanted a directory of women who had already solved the exact problem in front of me. I wanted a group small enough that a real person would give me a real answer, instead of a comment thread that goes quiet.

So I built it

FIRE is that place, built on purpose and kept intentional. We cap the founding membership so it stays a room and not a stadium. We are careful about who joins and what we publish. Everything inside it is something I wish someone had handed me on day one, from the forms library to the network to the working sessions where founders actually help each other.

If you are building something, you are welcome here. I am really glad you found us.

What this is

A membership for women who make things.

FIRE stands for Female Inventors and Rising Entrepreneurs. It is for women building product-based businesses at any stage, from the first sample to the next retail door, who want the tools and the people in one place.

1

The tools, done for you

Around a hundred templates, contracts, trackers, and guides covering incorporation, manufacturing, fundraising, and everything in between. The stack you would otherwise piece together over years.

2

A network that answers

A curated directory of women who have already shipped, raised, and scaled. Small enough that you can reach a real person and get a straight answer to the question in front of you.

3

Rooms to grow in

Pods, workshops, webinars, and a recurring pitch competition. Standing places to get accountability, learn from someone ahead of you, and put your product in front of the group.

How it’s built

Small on purpose.

01

Experience over theory

The women here have built and sold real products. What gets shared is what actually worked, from people who carried the risk themselves, not recycled advice.

02

A capped, curated room

Founding membership is limited to 150 women. The Inferno working group is a handful of seats. We keep the numbers small so the room stays useful and every member is actually known.

03

Run like a founder would

Practical, structured, and honest about what a membership does and does not do. We would rather be clear and useful than loud, and we are careful about what we put our name on.

The people

Led by women who have done it.

FIRE is anchored by Joelle and a standing roster of founders, operators, and specialists who lead in their fields and show up in this community. They run the working sessions, judge the pitch competition, and answer the hard questions.

The founding leaders span the disciplines a product business actually touches. Their names and faces are announced as membership opens.
